Each year, it’s really fun to get a new signature go-to perfume. I randomly came across Prada Candy online, which was released quite awhile ago, and thought the bottle was super cute! However, it just wasn’t worth the hefty pricetag. A few weeks later, I received a 30% off coupon from local cosmetic store. Instantly, Prada Candy came to mind. A couple days later, it was at my doorstep.
At first, I loved it! I could smell the warm caramel & vanilla notes – my favorite when it comes to fragrance. This perfume is definitely “sweet,” but not overbearing. In fact, I needed three spritzes in order for me to actually smell it on my skin. Already I was unsure. I highly doubted I wanted to use three spritzes each day.
About 1 hour later, I smelt my wrists to see how the fragrance was holding up. It smelt like play-doh. I kid you not. Granted, play-doh isn’t a bad smell; it reminds me of when I was a kid. But I’m not going to pay upwards of $85 to smell like it, just because the perfume is from Prada.
Of course, I wasn’t going to give up yet. After 2 more hours, I checked the fragrance again. Where was it? No where to be found. The three spritzes of perfume lasted a mere 3 hours on me.
After checking some other reviews, I noticed that others have also had this experience! So, without a doubt, I’ll be exchanging it for a different perfume. It’s such a bummer, though. I bought it at a great price & the packaging is SO adorable.
