Up until a couple months ago, my go-to foundation was either the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream (original) or the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Bronzer (for the days I wanted to look extra sun-kissed LOL).
At the beginning of September, I received a PR package from IT Cosmetics with their full-color array of IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte foundations. I’m not going to pretend I wasn’t hoping for this package lol. I was seeing their teaser posts on social media and dreamt of using this foundation on my oily skin. I had HIGH hopes.
Immediately, I washed my face and grabbed my usual “Light Medium” color from this new collection. The “Light Medium” is a bit more pink-y than the “Light” shade and works perfectly for my “pink-toned” skin. (For reference, in the summer, I could also get away with using the “Medium” shade.)
My immediate thought was, “Wow, this is a lot thicker than I thought it would be.” And that is definitely the case. On the brush, you could tell it had more substance than the original CC+. Nevertheless, I was eager to try, and I applied it flawlessly to my face with the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Skin CC+ Skin Perfecting Brush #702 (a mouth-full, I know, but one of my favorite brushes!). The coverage was amazing, the color was great, but I had to go back for one more “pump” of the foundation. I could typically get away with one “pump” of the other two foundations that I previously used. But honestly, I didn’t care. This foundation was definitely meeting my expectations! I finished up with some undereye concealer and blush and was excited to see how it held up for the rest of the day.
3 hours passed – it still looked great! 6 hours passed – still holding up! 8 hours passed – still staying strong! By the time I went to bed about 11 hours after I put it on, I was slightly dewy on my forehead, but everywhere else on my face looked flawless! Honestly, I could ask for the world and expect no dewy look whatsoever, but I’m also a realist and know that unless I want a dry, cracked looking face, my foundation will most likely have a tiny dew look to it towards the end of the day due to my super oily skin.
Overall, I’m super pleased with this new Oil-Free Matte CC+ Cream and have been wearing it nearly every day since I received my package 1.5 months ago! This is definitely my new go-to.
