Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and first day of the week! We had some gorgeous weather, so we spent some time outdoors with the pups! =) Today I’m sharing another outfit from our vacation! From the airy top, comfy shorts, and neutral backpack, this outfit was perfect for our trip to Downtown Nassau, Bahamas.

Exploring Downtown Nassau, Bahamas
A fun little spot that served Starbucks beverages, pastries, and ice cream near The Pirate Museum (we didn’t visit since tickets were $13 per person! LOL)! We had some treats here while waiting for my pretty Tanzanite ring (See Ring / Outfit Post Here) to be sized! Before this, we walked through the well-known “Straw Market” – seeing the handmade items from the locals. Some of the woodworkings were stunning!

We ate a delicious late lunch at Hard Rock Cafe – Nassau, Bahamas. Their cobb salad was amazing!
Thought this store was adorable! Blanc du Nil is a French company selling clothing made from Egyptian cotton and manufactured in Turkey. They have boutiques mainly in Europe, but also in several destinations in the Caribbean.
The Queen’s Staircase – Nassau, Bahamas
After we picked up my ring from the jewelers (about 20 min before they closed!), we headed to The Queen’s Staircase. It was about a 12-15 min walk from the heart of downtown shopping in Nassau to this historical landmark. As soon as we entered the grounds, it felt like we were in The Jungle Book.

This photo was taken around 5pm in the evening. The Queen’s Staircase commonly referred to as ‘The 66 Steps’, was hewn out of solid limestone rock by slaves between 1793 and 1794. It provided a direct route from Fort Fincastle to Nassau. These steps were later renamed in honor of Queen Victoria, who reigned in Britain for 64 years, from 1837 to 1901. Because the pathway that leads to the steps has been paved, the bottom step is buried under the asphalt, so there are now only 65 steps visible. (Description courtesy of Bahamas.com)

After our visit to The Queen’s Staircase, we walked all the way back into town. By this time, most of the shops were closed down. We hitched a $2 ride on the bus back to our resort, filled ourselves with a massive dinner, relaxed on the beach, and took in the evening festivities! Ahh to be back on vacation…. 😉
