In case you’ve been waiting for a sign to get your air and water filtered… I have it for you: it IS time! 🙂 We’ve always known that our air and water are heavily polluted, but with the news from the past few months about chemical spills, etc., it’s even more important to ensure your air and water are clean for you and your family!
Our family loves AirDoctor & AquaTru for our air and water filters. We’ve tried out 3 different water filters and love them all (each for different reasons as listed below) and 2 different air filters which we love as well!
AirDoctor 3000
This is the first AirDoctor device that we’ve had.
I can’t believe how many times the AirDoctor has picked up speed because it detected too many pollutants in the air (we kept it in our kitchen/sitting room area). The light turns from blue to orange to red, then back to blue after it’s completed the filtering. The UltraHEPA filter captures 100% of airborne particles at .003 microns. This includes contaminants like dust, pollen, mold spores, cigarette smoke, pet hair, and dander. And the Carbon Gas Trip/VOC filter reduces toxic gasses known as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the air that come from cleaning. Talk about a great match!
We’ve used the AirDoctor 3000 for over a year now and we’ve loved it so much that we just got another version. The AirDoctor 3000 is perfect for about 600-1,200 square feet. Since our first floor alone is a bit larger than that, we wanted to upgrade to a more powerful version.
AirDoctor 5000
We just received our AirDoctor 5000 this week and my goodness we love it!
The AirDoctor 3000 is quiet, but you do hear it when it’s running.
On the first day of using the AirDoctor 5000, I felt like I had to keep checking to see if it was on because it was so incredibly quiet! (It was on each and every time I checked, by the way! :))
The AirDoctor 5000 is perfect for larger spaces.
It circulates the air in 1,001 sq. ft. 4x/ hour or in 2,001 sq. ft. 2x/hour.
We also love that it has wheels which makes it easy to move from place to place if we desire.
This specific air filter has worked really well for us!
AquaTru Classic
This is the first AquaTru that we used. It is a great option for a family that doesn’t have an under-the-sink water filter.
It provided water to our family of two adults, two young children, and two 50-60 lb dogs.
You are able to put the clean water tank into your fridge after it filters, so you have cold water ready for you when you need it.
This one is great for families and for couples or individuals with pets, as well!
If you would like to purchase another clean water tank, so one can be in the fridge ready for you, AquaTru has them available on their website. I feel like it’s a great idea to always have cold, fresh water on hand at all times!
AquaTru Carafe
We started using this water purifier when it came out and loved it from the start!
This one has a glass carafe which is a big win in my book!
It is slightly smaller than the AquaTru Classic, in overall countertop footprint and also in the size of the clean water tank.
This isn’t a problem, however, because you are able to purchase another glass carafe from AquaTru and have one sitting in the purifier ready to go, and one in the fridge ready for you to drink from!
I love how it looks sleeker than the AquaTru Classic. It also has a smaller countertop footprint, which is desirable to look at and also for space-saving in kitchens, bedrooms, rec rooms, etc.!
AquaTru Under-Sink
When we saw this product, we knew we had to have it. The AquaTru Under-Sink Water Purifier is a powerful water filtration system designed to fit discreetly under your sink. It uses reverse osmosis technology to remove up to 99% of contaminants from tap water, including lead, chlorine, and pharmaceuticals. The system features a compact design and is easy to install and maintain, making it an excellent choice for homeowners who want to enjoy clean and safe water with the convenience of hooking it up to their sinks & refrigerator water source. After my dad and husband installed the Under-Sink purifier in our basement (you can install it in a different location as long as you purchase additional water tubing lines) it has been so easy to have filtered, safe water in our home. We have it hooked up to a special RO faucet (that comes with the unit) and also to the water dispenser on our fridge. This way, we know the water that our family is drinking is absolutely purified.
The Verdict
So is AquaTru worth it? Absolutely. Is AirDoctor worth it? Yes! We highly recommend these products to keep your air & water clean! We feel it is so important to have filters in place to keep your family safe from pollutants!
